FALL FOR THE BOOK: Youth Art Re-Imagining Community Project

The Youth Art Re-Imagining Community Project presents a series of banners created by local high school students to promote equity and social change. The Youth Art Re-Imagining Community Program—a partnership between the Fairfax County Department of Neighborhood and Community Services and Police Department, and George Mason University School of Art—represents a unique intersection of youth art and social change established to address social and racial inequities in youth opportunity.

Olly Olly wants to nourish the body and the community as well. We will be collecting healthy non-perishable food items for Britepaths, which provides short-term emergency food assistance to Fairfax County area residents who are in crisis. We encourage you to bring a healthy non-perishable food item to donate. Britepaths is most in need of cooking oil, brown rice, dried beans, canned fruit in its own juices, and pasta sauce.

Olly Olly, located at 10417 Main Street, 2nd Floor in Fairfax, VA, is open for special events and by appointment. The Youth Art Re-Imagining Community Project exhibition will be on view by appointment from October 8-October 13. Please call Olly Olly at 703-789-6144 to set an appointment. A public reception will be held on October 14 from 4pm-6pm.
