4000 Jermantown Road / Wendy’s – On October 30 at 5:05 PM an employee reported that sometime after 11:00 AM unknown person(s) had stolen her purse from a closet while she was working. The purse contained cash, identification and credit cards.
3600 Block of Old Post Road – On November 1 at 8:01 AM the vehicle owner reported that sometime after 6:00 PM on October 31 unknown person(s) had taken a pill holder containing prescription medications from her parked vehicle.
3810 University Drive / 7-Eleven – On November 1 at 3:38 PM the manager reported that a male subject who had taken merchandise from the store without paying on October 15 was again in the store. As the result of investigation by the Patrol Division, a warrant was obtained charging Shiva K. Bezwada, 20, of 8308 Armetale Lane, Fairfax, with petit larceny. The warrant was served on November 2 and he was released on a summons.
4000 Block of Barbour Drive – On November 4 at 3:20 AM the victim, a 27 year old City of Fairfax woman, reported that a male acquaintance had forced his way into her residence, struck her, placed her in a chokehold and forced her to the ground. He also physically prevented her from using her cell phone to call 911 for help. The victim was able to flee to a neighboring residence and the suspect left the area. The victim did not require medical treatment. As the result of investigation by the Patrol Division, warrants were obtained charging Alexander Pinerua-Mendez, 28, of Nonquitt Drive, Fairfax, with unlawful entry with intent to assault, felonious strangulation assault, simple assault and battery and obstructing one from calling 911. At 11:47 AM on November 4 the suspect met with officers and the warrants were served. The suspect was transported to the Adult Detention Center where a magistrate ordered him held without bond.
10394 Willard Way / Jersey Mike’s Subs Shop – On November 4 at 12:49 PM an employee reported that sometime between 11:30 AM and 2:30 PM on November 2 unknown person(s) had stolen her purse from a counter at the business. The purse contained cash, identification and credit cards.
