Road Diet Implemented on University Drive
University Drive has a new traffic pattern between Armstrong Street and South Street, thanks to the newly implemented road diet. The road diet modified the roadway from four vehicular lanes (two in each direction) to three vehicular lanes (one lane in each direction plus a center two-way turn lane) and added bicycle lanes on both sides of the roadway.
The purpose of the proposed project is to provide improved facilities and connectivity for bicyclists and calm traffic on University Drive.
