Credit Card Fraud
9701 Main Street / Apple Federal Credit Union – On February 28 at 10:07 AM the victim reported that on February 25 unknown person(s) had taken his debit card which he had left in the ATM and subsequently used the card to make several unauthorized transactions. The Patrol Division is investigating the case.
3600 Block of Old Lee Highway – On March 1 at 7:25 AM a citizen reported that sometime after 7:00 AM on February 28 unknown person(s) had removed a speed limit sign and a community civic association sign from Old Lee Highway and left the signs in front of residences in the 3600 block of Colony Road.
Chain Bridge Road – On March 2 at 12:15 AM an officer who had conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and issued the driver a citation which the driver had signed ascertained that the driver had provided a false name in signing the document. The driver was taken into custody and transported to the Adult Detention Center. Evelyn Gomez, 33, of 3315 Willow Crescent Drive, Fairfax, was charged with forging public records, driving on a DUI-revoked license, open alcoholic beverage container in vehicle and red light violation. His bond was set at $1000.
