Credit Card Theft/Fraud Arrest
9701 Main Street / Apple Federal Credit Union – On February 28 the victim reported that on February 25 he had inadvertently left his debit card while using the ATM and that it had been taken and subsequently used to make unauthorized transactions. As the result of investigation by the Patrol Division in cooperation with the Fairfax County and Prince William County Police Departments, the suspect was identified and warrants were obtained charging Maria R. Garcia, 46, of 4308 Hollowview Court, Fairfax, with credit card theft and credit card fraud. She was taken into custody by Fairfax County Police on March 23 and transported to the Adult Detention Center.
3965 Jermantown Road / 7-Eleven – On March 23 at 2:52 PM the manager reported that about 2:50 AM an unknown male subject had stolen a change container for a charitable organization which had been placed on the counter. The Patrol Division is investigating the case.
10300 Block of Democracy Lane / Parking Lot – On March 29 at 3:57 PM the vehicle owner reported that sometime between 4:30 PM and 10:00 PM on March 27 unknown person(s) had scratched the paint on her parked vehicle.
Larceny from Vehicle
10800 Block of Woodhaven Drive – On March 29 at 4:01 PM the resident reported that about 5:30 AM an unknown male subject had entered her unlocked parked vehicle and taken cash from the center console.
