Stolen Vehicle

10628 Fairfax Boulevard / DARCARS – On May 5 at 2:01 PM an insurance company employee reported that sometime after April 10 unknown person(s) had stolen a damaged 2014 Mazda 3 from the dealership’s lot.

Larceny

9908 Fairfax Boulevard / PJ Skidoos – On May 5 at 7:58 PM the victim reported that sometime between 9:00 PM and 11:30 PM on May 4 unknown person(s) had taken her cell phone which she had left unattended on a table at the restaurant.

DUI Arrest

Main Street / Chain Bridge Road – On May 5 at 11:20 PM officers investigating a vehicle crash determined that the driver involved was intoxicated. Meghann Forshey, 26, of 11337 Westbrook Mill Lane, Fairfax, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where she was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol -- second offense within five years.

DUI Arrest

9600 Block of Fairfax Boulevard – On May 6 at 2:37 AM an officer who had conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being operated in excess of the speed limit and with a flat tire determined that the driver was intoxicated. Sarah Nicole Jenkins, 19, of 4450 Rivanna River Road, Fairfax, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where she was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Trespassing Arrest

11180 Fairfax Boulevard / Comfort Inn – On May 6 at 2:27 AM a female subject who had previously been told several times by employees and police officers not to return to the property was reported to once again have returned to the lobby. Susan Lynn Shaw, 58, of no fixed address, was taken into custody and transported to the Adult Detention Center where she was charged with trespassing.

Hit and Run with Injury

Armstrong Street / Linden Street – On May 6 at 3:51 PM the passenger side mirror of a passing vehicle struck a ten year old female pedestrian, knocking her to the ground and causing bruises and a laceration to one hand. The driver initially stopped, but left the scene when asked for identification. The victim was transported to a medical facility for treatment where it was determined she had sustained a broken arm. The driver was described as about 50 years old and dark-skinned. The vehicle was navy blue, possibly a Chrysler Pacifica, with damage to the passenger side mirror.
