Malicious Wounding Arrests
11104 Lee Highway / Epicure Café - 10060 Fairfax Boulevard / Hooters – On July 3 at 11:44 PM the manager of the Epicure Cafe reported that a male subject had displayed a knife and had struck him during the course of a verbal altercation, damaged his cell phone and then left the restaurant. On July 4 at 12:04 AM officers were called to Hooters where the same male subject and a second male subject been involved in a physical altercation during which the first subject produced a knife and cut the victim, an 18 year old Springfield man. The two suspects attempted to flee the area in a vehicle, but were apprehended by officers. Following investigation by the Field Operations Division, both suspects were transported to the Adult Detention Center. Dominic Lawrence Blakeney, 29, of 15251 Colony Place, Woodbridge, was charged with malicious wounding, assault and battery and destruction of property. Peter Vladislavovich Baturenko, 41, of 7275 Swan Point Way, Columbia, Maryland, was charged with accessory to malicious wounding and drunk in public. Both were ordered held without bond. The victim at Epicure Café declined medical attention and the victim at Hooters was treated at the scene by EMS personnel.
9900 Block of Fairfax Boulevard – On July 4 at 9:58 PM an officer responding to a report of a motor vehicle crash determined that one of the drivers involved was intoxicated. Dennis Warren Herzig, 64, of 3635 Freemont Place, Dale City, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where he was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and his bond was set at $2500.
10376 Fairfax Boulevard / Patriots Café – On July 4 at 11:50 PM the victim reported that sometime after 10:59 PM unknown person(s) had taken her laptop computer which she had inadvertently left behind when departing the business.
