11150 Fairfax Boulevard / Kwik Kopy – On March 27 the manager reported that she had discovered that a former employee had embezzled money from the company since 2015 by setting up an unauthorized billing account to which charges to customers were posted and paid. As the result of investigation by the Field Operations and Criminal Investigations Divisions Jared Andrew Cempa, 31, of 12210 Fairfax Town Center, Fairfax, was identified as the suspect and charged with embezzlement. On July 24 he met with officers at police headquarters and was transported to the Adult Detention Center where he was served with the warrant and his bond was set at $5000.
11200 James Swart Circle / Parking Lot – On July 18 at 5:00 PM the vehicle owner reported that sometime after 7:00 AM unknown person(s) had damaged two fenders on his parked vehicle.
3174 Spring Street / Bright View Landscaping Services – On July 20 at 10:24 AM a manager reported that on July 8 or July 9 unknown person(s) had spray painted graffiti on the side of the building occupied by the business.
10266 Main Street / Coyote Grill – On July 21 at 3:19 PM employees reported that an unknown male subject had attempted to pay for food with a one hundred dollar bill which they determined was counterfeit. The suspect left the area prior to the arrival of police.
3965 Jermantown Road / 7-Eleven – On July 24 at 10:43 AM an employee reported that an unknown female subject had concealed beer in her bag and left the store without paying for it.
