Forgery Arrest

11180 Lee Highway / Navy Federal Credit Union – On July 26 at 3:38 PM employees reported that a female subject had attempted to cash a check which they had determined was fraudulent. The suspect was on the scene when police arrived and subsequently was found to possess false identification. As the result of investigation by the Field Operations Division, Jamanyeh Kwantae Jefferson, 18, of 84 Jackson Street, Lynchburg, was taken into custody and transported to the Adult Detention Center where she was charged with forgery and uttering and her bond was set at $2500.

Identity Theft

10800 Block of Charles Drive – On July 26 at 6:40 PM the resident reported that unknown person(s) had opened a credit account at a business in her name and had unsuccessfully attempted to open an account at a second business.


10100 Farrcroft Drive / Farrcroft Pool – On July 27 at 9:26 AM a community employee reported that sometime after 10:00 PM on July 26 unknown person(s) had damaged a fence post topper and dumped beer cans and other trash on the pool patio.

Larceny Arrest

11015 Fairfax Boulevard / AT&T Wireless – On July 27 at 11:06 AM employees reported that a male subject had been observed taking keys for the security locks on the cell phones in the store. The suspect was present when police arrived. As the result of investigation by the Field Operations Division the keys were recovered and the suspect was taken into custody. Devin Pernell Boone, 24, of 2957 Sunset Lane, Suitland, Maryland, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where he was charged with grand larceny and his bond was set at $2000.
