Embezzlement Arrest
17-12269

9908 Fairfax Boulevard / PJ Skidoos – On August 10 at 6: 45 PM managers reported that they had determined that over a period of several months an employee had been taking money from the restaurant by keeping money from cash-paying customers for himself and voiding the charges. On August 11, following investigation by the Field Operations Division, Abner J. Ramos Campos, 28, of 1921 Carmody Drive, Silver Spring, Maryland, was taken into custody at the restaurant and transported to the Adult Detention Center where he was charged with embezzlement and his bond was set at $7500.

Prescription Fraud

10320 Main Street / Walgreens Pharmacy – On August 11 at 8:42 PM a pharmacist reported that since March a female subject had fraudulently signed a doctor’s signature on multiple prescriptions and filled them at the pharmacy. The Field Operations Division is investigating the case.

DUI Arrest

Main Street / Burke Station Road – On August 12 at 12:41 AM officers who had conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle making a right turn on red without stopping determined that the driver was intoxicated. William Z. Thompson, 33, of 5226 Pumphery Place, Fairfax, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where he was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol – second offense and issued a citation for the right turn on red violation. His bond was set at $2500.

10417 Main Street / Paint Your Own Pottery – On August 12 at 1:46 PM the owner reported that on August 9 and August 11 unknown person(s) had attempted to gain access to her business credit card account and were denied by the bank several times but subsequently had made a withdrawal from her business account.

3600 Block of University Drive – On August 12 at 6:14 PM the resident reported that sometime between 8:00 PM on August 11 and 7:00 AM on August 12 unknown person(s) had stolen a bicycle from the bike rack of his vehicle which was parked in the driveway of the home.
