Larceny Arrest
17-14247

9602 Main Street – On September 15 at 8:52 AM a citizen reported a male subject had been attempting to manipulate locks on bicycles and had dropped a handsaw while leaving the scene on foot. The suspect was apprehended in the area. Following investigation by the Field Operations Division, Leon Urrutia Diaz, 38, of no fixed address, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where he was charged with destruction of property, petit larceny, possession of burglarious tools and drunk in public. His bond was set at $5000.

Trespassing Arrest

10350 Willard Way / Safeway – On September 16 at 9:42 AM officers responding to a report of a solicitor on the premises determined that the female subject had previously been issued a trespass notice for the property. Jennifer Susan Knight, 52, of no fixed address, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where she was charged with trespassing and released on signature.

4290 Chain Bridge Road / Pho Banh Mi Grill – On September 16 at 10:25 AM the manager reported that sometime after 11:00 PM on September 15 unknown person(s) had broken a window at the business.

Forgery Arrest

11180 Lee Highway / Navy Federal Credit Union – On September 16 at 12:54 PM employees reported that a male subject had attempted to pass a fraudulent check. Responding officers observed the suspect leaving the credit union and took him into custody, during which time he resisted and two officers suffered minor injuries. Following investigation by the Field Operations Division felony warrants charging two counts of assault on a police officer, forging a check, and uttering, and misdemeanor warrants for resisting arrest and credit card fraud were obtained for Stephen Allen Booker, 22, of 5428 Afton Overlook, Richmond. He was transported to the Adult Detention Center where he was ordered held without bond.

Larceny from Vehicle

Stanton Drive – On September 16 at 10:45 PM the vehicle owner reported that sometime after 12:00 AM on September 15 unknown person(s) had stolen the front license plate from her parked vehicle.
