9534 Main Street / Dollar Tree – On November 3 at 4:14 PM an employee reported that on October 22 she had left her wallet in the restroom and subsequently found that unknown person(s) had removed cash from it.
10400 Block of Fairfax Boulevard – On November 4 at 1:03 AM an officer conducting a traffic stop observed a vehicle pass at a high rate of speed and subsequently initiated a traffic stop on that vehicle and determined that the driver was intoxicated. Ban Kim, 38, of 13617 Bent Tree Circle, Centreville, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where he was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to yield to a stopped emergency vehicle. His bond was set at $1500.
3950 University Drive / Bikram Yoga – On November 4 at 1:35 PM the victim reported that between 10:00 AM and 12:00 Noon unknown person(s) had taken her wallet which she had left on a shelf while attending class. The wallet contained cash. Identification and credit cards, one of which had subsequently been used in an attempt to make an unauthorized purchase. The Field Operations Division is investigating the case.
10320 Main Street / Walgreens Pharmacy – On November 4 at 8:37 PM employees reported that a male subject had asked to buy cigarettes and then produced a handgun and demanded money from the register. He fled from the store when an employee started yelling. The suspect was described as black, about six feet tall, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, gray jeans and black running shoes. The suspect did not take anything and no one was injured. The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the case.
4040 Jermantown Road / McDonald’s Parking Lot – On November 5 at 12:32 AM an officer investigating a report of an intoxicated driver found the individual sitting in the driver’s seat of a vehicle with the engine running. Mujahid Abdul Quddos Ahmad, 37, of 11240 Cherry Hill Road, Beltsville, Maryland, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where he was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol (private property) and his bond was set at $1500.
