Begging Arrest
17-19003

9960 Main Street / Main Street Center – On December 12 at 6:11 PM an officer responding to a report of a homeless person begging located the subject who had previously been reported by businesses in the center. Gregory Antonio Jackson, 49, of no fixed address, was issued a summons for unlawful begging and was trespassed from the shopping center.

10800 Block of Fairchester Drive – On December 12 at 6:37 PM the victim, a 22 year old Fairfax area man, reported that while walking along a pathway from Harvey Drive, he was approached by two male subjects who grabbed him and forcibly removed his wallet from his pocket. The suspects then removed cash and an ATM card from the wallet and fled on foot. The victim was not injured. The suspects were described as black, in their twenties, with short hair. The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the case.

Larceny from Vehicle

3616 Jermantown Road / Providence Elementary School Parking Lot – On December 12 at 7:21 PM the vehicle owner reported that sometime after 4:30 PM unknown person(s) had broken a window on her parked vehicle and taken her purse. The purse contained identification and credit cards, one of which subsequently had been fraudulently used.
