Crisis Stabilization Services for Northern Virginians of All Ages with Developmental Disabilities
Crisis stabilization and related services, collectively known as “REACH” (Regional, Education, Assessment, Crisis Services, Habilitation) are available 24/7 for children, youth and adults who have developmental disabilities and who live in areas served by the following Community Services Boards (CSBs): Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax-Falls Church, Loudoun, Northwestern, Prince William, Rappahannock Area, and Rappahannock-Rapidan.
If someone you care about who has a developmental disability is experiencing a crisis due to behavioral or psychiatric needs, call REACH at 855-897-8278.
Previously, services for children, youth and adults were provided by two different vendors and accessed through two different phone numbers. The Northern Virginia Regional Projects Office, which manages regional initiatives of the local community services boards, awarded the new “lifespan” REACH services contract to Easterseals UCP, which had previously provided REACH services for adults only.
REACH offers help involving someone with a developmental disability any time to help stabilize and prevent crisis situations.
