10750 Fairfax Boulevard / AT&T (Unique Mobile) – On January 14 at 4:50 PM an employee reported that on January 14 at 4:00 PM two unknown males entered the store and were looking at an IPhone 8 at which time they grabbed the phone and exited the business without purchasing the phone. The Field Operations Division is investigating the case.

 

 

9900 Block of Colony Road – On January 15 at 12:49 PM the resident reported he had received a telephone call from a male subject claiming to be his grandson stating he just got arrested in Florida and he needs bail money. The resident then called his grandson and realized it was a scam. The victim did not comply with the instructions to send the money and called police.

 

 

Fairfax Boulevard / Eaton Place– On January 11 at 9:50 PM officers investigating a traffic crash determined that one of the drivers involved was intoxicated. Linda Wankow, 54, of Earthstar Ct, Fairfax, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where she was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

 

4300 Block of Amnesty Place– On January 12 at 8:01 AM the vehicle owner reported that sometime between January 11 at 3:30 PM and January 12 at 6:30 AM unknown person(s) had stolen his 2007 Honda Odyssey which had been parked in front of his residence with the keys left inside the vehicle.

 

 

9908 Fairfax Boulevard / PJ’S Skidoo’s – On January 12 at 1:30 AM the victim, a 23 year old man, reported that during the course of an altercation with a male subject that subject had grabbed the victim and swung a metal rod at him several times, striking him in the head. As the result of investigation by the Field Operations Division, a suspect was identified and taken into custody. Muhammad Aatif 22, of 44340 Tillman Terrance, Ashburn, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where he was charged with

Malicious Wounding, Trespassing, and Disorderly Conduct. He was ordered held without bond. The victim was transported to a medical facility for treatment of his injuries which were not life-threatening.
