When looking for a house to buy back in 1991, Ronald & Priscilla Stultz liked the two story colonial in Country Club Hills but felt that it needed some remodeling and expansion to make it fit their needs. While the basic structure of this 1962 house remains that same, it bears only passing resemblance today on the interior. Originally, this house had four bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, and an unfinished basement. Once renovations were complete, the house had four bedrooms (including a master bedroom suite), four and a half bathrooms, two additional sitting rooms, two home offices, a fitness room, a game room, an updated kitchen on the first floor, the addition of a kitchenette in the basement, and a brick front porch. Other work included opening up the basement with a bank of windows two stories high, adding a deck off of the master bedroom suite, and remodeling the decking at the back of the house.
Plans were drawn up by an architect and a general contractor carried out the work over a nine month period.
