What will the City of Fairfax be like in the year 2035?
Show us how you imagine our City’s future as a painting, drawing, photograph, etc.
Where will you live? What will the environment be like?
What will be happening in Old Town? What will buildings look like?
How will people move around?
The City of Fairfax is sponsoring an art contest for children in grades K-12 in city schools, including public and private, and home-schooled students. We are asking students to imagine what the City will be like in the year 2035 and show us their vision. The contest is part of our process developing the comprehensive plan to guide the City into 2035. We want all members of our community to be aware of and engaged in this process.
The deadline for the contest is 5:00 pm on Wednesday, January 31, 2018.
Please review the information and entry form below for more details. The document is provided in English and Spanish.
Entries will be judged within 4 separate grade level categories – grades K-2, grades 3-5, grades 6-9, and grades 10-12. A top prize will be awarded in each category. Additional prizes may be awarded. Prizes will be awarded at a Planning Commission meeting in March 2018.
