The Zoning Administration Division of the Department of Community Development and Planning investigates alleged violations of the City’s Zoning Ordinance. In order for zoning enforcement staff to respond to alleged violations, a completed complaint form must be on file. You can either complete and submit the form online or download a copy.
Once the printed form is completed, it can be mailed to: Zoning Enforcement, 10455 Armstrong Street, Room 207, Fairfax, VA 22030. The form may also be faxed to 703-385-7824.
Note: The name of the complaining party is not released to the alleged violator if so requested by the complaining party. However, if a violation is detected and staff is not successful in attempts to resolve the situation, a complainant may be called upon to testify in any necessary court action taken against the violator.
