Dave Rohr

Greetings,

On behalf of the Men and Women of the City of Fairfax Fire Department, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our online home. I hope you find the information you need here and if not feel free to contact me or any member of staff.

The City of Fairfax Fire Department is a combination department comprised of career employees of the City of Fairfax and volunteer members of the Fairfax Volunteer Fire Department Inc. Together we provide fire suppression, emergency medical service, and special operations service to the City of Fairfax and a 14 square mile area of Fairfax County that immediately surrounds the City of Fairfax, as well as the Fairfax Campus of George Mason University (GMU).

Summer is a time when our residents engage in outdoor activities of all types. Please remember to take the necessary precautions like proper hydration and seeking shelter during thunderstorms. In addition, make sure that any grilling is done safely away from your residence and away from any flammable materials like vinyl siding or combustibles stored near your home. These accidents account for many significant losses in the region. Our goal is to provide you with information to keep you and your family safe during this fun time of year.

Our entire website is also a source for a wide range of information about our department, its members, emergency preparedness, our response activities, safety programs, training & special event information as well as the day-to-day activities of the department. Spread the word and also Follow us on Twitter. If you don’t see something you would like to on our site please feel free to let me know.

Our organizational motto is "Taking Pride In Excellence" and we are blessed with members who live up to that motto every day. I could not be more proud of the level and quality of service that our members provide to our community. The website showcases who they are and the work that they do.

Please feel free to visit at any time, our members would be happy to show you around our facilities and answer any questions you may have.
