On March 18, 2012 the Commission for Women hosted a free screening of the film Iron Jawed Angels at City Hall.  The film depicts the story of defiant young activists who put their lives at risk to help American women win the right to vote. The Occoquan Workhouse where these suffragists were imprisoned is featured in the film.
