City of Fairfax Police Investigating Bank Robbery

City of Fairfax Police are investigating the robbery of the TD Bank branch located at 11098 Fairfax Boulevard which occurred about 7:07 PM on Thursday, July 3. A lone male suspect entered the bank, approached the counter, produced a handgun and demanded money. The teller complied, and the suspect grabbed the undisclosed amount of cash and ran out the back door of the bank, fleeing on foot in the direction of Bevan Drive and Kutner Park. No one was injured.

The suspect is described as a white male in his forties, approximately five feet five inches tall, with a thin build and long blond hair. He was wearing a red cap, a mask, a black jacket and khaki pants. Anyone with information about this suspect is asked to call City of Fairfax Police at (703) 385-7924, Detective Mike Boone at (703) 385-7959 or Crime Solvers at (703) 591-TIPS (8477). Callers to Crime Solvers may remain anonymous and receive an award of up to $1000 if their information results in an arrest.

The last robbery of a financial institution in the City of Fairfax occurred on November 3, 2010.
