Larceny

18-12700

9668 Main Street/Potbelly’s – On September 3, 2018, at approximately 3:05 PM, the complainant reported that she had parked her vehicle and left it unlocked while inside the Potbelly’s restaurant. When she returned to it a few minutes later she realized that her purse had been stolen from the vehicle. The Field Operations Division is investigating the case.

Larceny

11000 Block of Oakwood Drive – On September 7, 2018, at approximately 2:05 PM, the complainant reported that a FedEx package had been stolen from her front porch area. The victim had tracked her package online and observed that it had been delivered earlier in the day. When she got home from work that night the package was not there. The Field Investigations Division is investigating the case.

Burglary

9800 Block of Fairfax Square – On September 9, 2018 at approximately 12:41 AM, officers were dispatched to Fairfax Square for a burglary in progress. The complainant reported that a white male, approximately 20 years of age, short hair wearing a dark long sleeve tee shirt and long pants had entered her apartment through an unlocked door and attempted to steal items. The complainant saw the subject at which time he left on foot. Patrol and K-9 units checked the area with negative results. Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the case.

DUI

Main Street and North Street- On September 9, 2018 at approximately 4:10 AM, officers observed a Blue 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee driving erratically in the vicinity of Main Street and North Street. The vehicle was stopped and the driver failed a series of field sobriety tests. As a result, John Talube Jasper, 26, of 12920 Framingham Court, Herndon, VA was arrested for DUI and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. His bond was set at $1,000.

Larceny

10201 Main Street/World Gym – On September 9, 2018, at approximately 12:36 PM, the complainant reported that she observed a male subject breaking a window in a vehicle, removing items, and then placing them inside silver Hyundai Elantra with a black plastic bag obscuring the license plate. The complainant called police but the subject fled prior to police arrival. A total of three vehicles had been broken into. Surveillance video of the parking lot will be reviewed for investigative leads. The Field Operations Division is investigating the case.
