Connect2FairfaxCity Engages Citizens on City Issues
Post Date:08/01/2019
Fairfax City residents and business owners are busy — and it’s not always possible to make it to a City Council meeting to voice an opinion about an issue, no matter how passionate or involved they may be.
Enter Connect2FairfaxCity, a web resource that provides a new way to learn about City Council agenda items and city issues, and to pass along feedback and opinions about what’s being discussed in public meetings.
“This new platform caters to all of our busy lives,” says Fairfax City Clerk Melanie Crowder. “People can offer feedback 24/7, even on their mobile devices. It’s a great way for residents and business owners to provide their perspective on issues important to our community.”
Users create their own profiles to access and interact on the site, and determine their own level of engagement. All comments and posts made on Connect2FairfaxCity
are public and will be reviewed by the City Council.
In the future, Connect2FairfaxCity will include surveys and information about developments, and current and future projects. Information: 703-385-7935.
