Fire Department Collects School Supplies for City Students

The City of Fairfax Fire Department, in partnership with IAFF Local 2702, is collecting school supplies for city students through the fall semester — and beyond. Simply drop off the items in specially marked bin in the lobby of Fire Station 3, 4081 University Drive.

The bin will remain in the lobby through December 2019, and donations are accepted at any time. Please check back as the semester continues for more information about the sire department's school supply drop-off program.

Fire department personnel understand that the need for school supplies doesn't end when school starts. That's why they will work with school personnel to provide supplies to students as the semester continues. Organizers would like to see the program become year-round because the need continues all year.
