Drivers should be alert to changes coming soon to two locations near Fairfax City:
- I-66 exit and entrance ramps at Route 123/Chain Bridge Road and Nutley Street
- Access across Vaden Drive bridge near the Vienna/Farifax-GMU Metrorail Station
Changes to the
I-66 ramps from Route 123/Chain Bridge Road will begin with replacing flyover ramps with signals.

The Vaden Drive bridge closure will take place from October 2019 through September 2020. Click here for more information from the Transform 66 website.
Drivers will detour on Nutley Street. Drivers will be able to access Metrorail garages from Vaden Drive, but will not be able to travel between them. This change should not affect CUE Bus riders, and pedestrians may walk through the pedestrian bridge at the Metrorail station. Cyclists should proceed with caution during this construction.
