News Release: Sexual Assault Arrest

March 17, 2020


City of Fairfax Police arrested a subject in connection with a sexual assault which occurred during the morning hours of March 16, 2020, in a parking lot located in the 11000 block of Fairfax Boulevard.  Investigation revealed that a Fairfax County Sheriff’s Deputy, determined to be on duty, sexually assaulted a female prisoner while transporting the subject from the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center in his department owned vehicle.


Detectives identified the deputy and secured warrants for two counts of Object Sexual Penetration (18.2-67.2).  Patrick D. McPartlin, 45, of 6925 Mill Valley Drive, Warrenton was arrested on March 17, 2020 and transported to the City of Alexandria Adult Detention Center.  McPartlin is currently being held on no bond.
