Summer has arrived and with it comes sunny weather and high temperatures!

We encourage each of you to spend some time this summer relaxing and enjoying our City's wonderful parks, public gathering areas, and community events, such as Rock the Block! and the 4th of July Independence Day Celebration.

However, we want to make sure you are enjoying these in a safe manner. Below is an educational chart from the CDC that outlines the signs and symptoms of heat-related illnesses for your awareness. Additionally, the following link will provide you Hot Weather Tips supplied by the CDC.

Drink plenty of water and find shady areas to take frequent breaks. If you are ever concerned that you may be experiencing a heat-related illness, contact 911.
