Human Trafficking: Get the Facts and Take Action, January 2016

The City of Fairfax Commission for Women, in collaboration with the City of Alexandria Commission for Women, Arlington County Commission on the Status of Women and Fairfax County Commission for Women, hosted a free interactive and informational event on human trafficking for the general public on January 31, 2016 at Stacy C. Sherwood Community Center.

The three-hour event featured Elizabeth Scaife of Shared Hope International as the keynote speaker as well as local human trafficking experts: George Mason University Professor in the School of Policy, Government and International Affairs Dr. Louise Shelley, Fairfax County Police Detective Bill Woolf, FBI Special Agent Ted P. Delacourt, Fairfax County Public Schools K-12 Coordinator for Health, Family Life, and Physical Education Dr. Elizabeth Payne and President of the Just Ask Prevention Project Beth Saunders as well as Jodi O’Hern, Community Outreach Coordinator for Just Ask Trafficking Prevention Foundation.
