We have decided to postpone this year’s Spotlight on the Arts Festival.  Your safety is our number one priority, and we are going to follow the guidelines set forth by the CDC and Virginia Department of Health to cancel all events of 50 or more people between now and May 10.

Over the next few weeks we will be rescheduling some of the events from the Festival.  Stay tuned for more information!

"The Next 35 Years"

Fairfax, Spotlight on the Arts 35th Festival!

What will art look like in 35 years?  In asking this question, we look at our current situation in new creative ways.  We think “What would I change?”  “What will be better?”  “How can I be a part of it?”  Through these conversations we build community and start to create in innovative ways.  In doing so we place ourselves in a better future.  We, at Spotlight, can’t wait to see what “the next 35 years” brings!

The 2020 Fairfax Spotlight on the Arts Festival will celebrate the next 35 years with 3 weeks of theatre, dance, music and visual art.  Over its 35 year history, Spotlight has been committed to supporting and encouraging awareness of cultural opportunities in the greater Fairfax community.  This is highlighted during our annual festival.  The Spotlight on the Arts Festival continues to be one of Virginia’s foremost arts festivals.  Spotlight also raises funds for scholarships that benefit College of Visual and Performing Arts students at George Mason University.

We invite you to grab a friend and join us as we usher in “the next 35 years”!
