Park Pavilions

Park pavilions are available for public use and enjoyment at numerous Fairfax City parks. Park pavilions are open during park hours and are available on a first come, first served basis unless a permitted reservation is scheduled at the time. Reservations may be placed on a first come, first served basis due to limited availability, and require a permit in order to have exclusive use of the pavilion and its amenities. Pavilion rentals may take place during park operating hours only. Pavilion rental fees include up to four (4) hours of use and are due for payment at the time reservations are placed. Reservations cannot be placed over the phone. Electricity at park pavilions is not provided at this time.

Grill Amenity Icon Grills are available at all rentable park pavilions; personal grills are prohibited per City Code. Field Light Amenity Icon
Electricity is NOT available at any of the pavilions. Private generators are permitted, however, they must meet all noise requirements per City Code.

Picnic Table Amenity Icon

Picnic tables are available at all rentable park pavilions. Personal tables are permitted, however, they must remain within the rented pavilion.

Trash Receptacles Amenity Icon

Trash receptacles are available at all rentable park pavilions. Trash too large to fit inside the receptacles provided is the responsibility of the renter for removal and proper disposal.

For your convenience, the following options are available for reserving a park pavilion:

Please note:
Due to the requirement of applicant acknowledgment and acceptance to adhere to all park rules and regulations included in the application process, our staff is unable to reserve pavilions over the phone. Fee payments, however, may be transacted over the phone, provided that a Charge Authorization form has been submitted to grant permission for a transaction to take place using the approved and authorized credit or debit card of the payer.

Bounce Houses/Moon Bounces

Private bounce houses/moon bounces are permitted – limited to one (1) per pavilion rental - provided that a current Certificate of Liability Insurance (COLI) insuring the City of Fairfax is submitted. Applicants are responsible for contacting MISS UTILTIY at 8-1-1 or 1 (800) 522-7001 prior to any ground disturbances such as stakes or other materials being placed/inserted into the ground. Equipment to operate and secure inflatable amusement devices is the sole responsibility of the applicant and/or device owner. If a park athletic field is required for the addition of a bounce house/moon bounce, an Athletic Field/Gymnasium Use permit will be required and subject to approval by the Athletics Coordinator.
