About Fall Festival

What started out as a small market for artisans to display their wares has grown into a festival with more than 400+ art and craft vendors, informational vendors, food vendors, children's activities, multiple stages of entertainment, beer gardens, and more! Even though this event has grown immensely since its inception, it still holds that same hometown festival feeling. We look forward to hosting you in our historic downtown area! 

General Information

  • Rain or Shine Event (no reschedule date)
  • Admission - Free (there are fees associated with the children's rides and activities)
  • ATM available at the intersection of University Drive and Sager Avenue
  • Parks and Recreation Tent/Show Officials Location - Space #112 on University Drive and South Street
  • Pets are kindly discouraged at the festival, except for service animals 
  • First Aid Location - Fire Station #3 on University Drive

My Gym Children's Fitness Center

My Gym Children's Fitness Center will be running an exciting outdoor agility obstacle course where kids aged 2-10 years can balance and dash through fun challenges. Plus, our awesome coaches will be there to teach and help your child try out cool tumbling moves in a safe, playful way!

Golden Gate Cabernet: This is a well-balanced Cabernet Sauvignon with dark fruit notes of blackberry and cherry, complimented by notes of cedar and a long, lingering finish.

Detective Chardonnay: An expressive nose that includes pear and vanilla. The palate is rich and buttery with fresh fruit notes.

Road Closures 

The following road closures are in effect from 5:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. (includes buses, e-scooters, and bicycles). 

  • Route 236/Main Street between West and East streets; traffic detoured to North Street
  • University Drive between North Street and Armstrong Street; traffic detoured to Route 123/Chain Bridge Road via North Street
  • Sager Avenue between Route 123/Chain Bridge Road and South Street; traffic detoured to North Street. 
  • CUE Bus Detour: CUE Buses will detour from George Mason Drive and University Drive to Route 123/Chain Bridge Road. 

Shuttle Buses

Shuttle Bus Hours: 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Shuttle Bus Locations: 

  • George Mason University Rappahannock Parking Deck - 4393 University Drive, Fairfax (closest address to the parking deck). Please visit GMU's website for a more specific map on the GMU Rappahannock Parking Deck Locations. There is no charge for parking at this parking deck during Fall Festival.
