The Office of Historic Resources Mission

We provide experiences that connect people to our intricate and evolving history to transform the community. We do that by:

Educating visitors of all ages
Collecting, preserving, and interpreting history
Providing visitor services
Applying expertise to support city events and special projects, community development and planning, economic initiatives, and tourism, and
Operating and managing the city’s public historic sites.

Volunteer with Historic Resources

Volunteer with the Office of Historic Resources to help educate the public about Fairfax's historic sites and regional history. Volunteers assist travelers and participate in special events.

Fairfax Museum

The Fairfax Museum and Visitor Center is conveniently located near historic Old Town Fairfax and is a Virginia certified tourist information center.

Historic Blenheim - Tours & History
