Fairfax Village in the City

Supporting independent living for Fairfax City residents aged 55+ and adults with disabilities who wish to stay independent while remaining in their homes.
Fairfax Village in the City is a city-supported, volunteer-driven program that helps residents stay independent while remaining in their homes. We build personal connections between neighbors, provide practical support services, and facilitate access to community resources.
Our vetted volunteers provide personal services including check-in calls and visits, transportation to appointments, technology assistance, and basic and seasonal yard assistance.
The Village complements (but does not replace) existing services available through Fairfax County and local nonprofits. Rather, when appropriate, the Village can facilitate access to these services and resources.
