Young at Heart Membership

Memberships registration is available any time at the front desk at Green Acres Center.

Membership are required for participation of Senior Center Activities.

Membership Fees

  • Fairfax City and Fairfax County residents: Free
  • Non-Fairfax City or County Residents: $50/year
  • Guest or Drop-In Fee: $5/day

What is the cost of membership at the Senior Center?

Membership is free to residents of Fairfax City and Fairfax County. Residents outside of these areas must pay a $50 annual fee or a $5 drop in fee each time they come to the center.

What are the eligibility requirements for membership at Young at Heart Senior Center?

In order to be a member, you must be able to show that you are 55 or older with a valid ID, and meet all eligibility requirements as shown on the membership request form at the front desk.

What kinds of activities are offered by the center?

A wide variety of programs can be found at the Green Acres Center such as health and well being, art appreciation, history classes, coffee clubs, sports, trips, and even some free clubs and programs.

How do I apply for membership?

There is a singular form that you must fill out at the front desk of the center. You must come in person to apply. No applications accepted by internet or phone.

Do you provide transportation to and from the senior center?

The Young at Heart Center works with a service known as FasTran. If you are interested in this service, you must be a City resident and apply through the Center.

Senior Center Advisory Council

The Senior Center Council members are volunteers who work as a group to enhance the programs and activities of the Fairfax City Senior Center. Elections are held annually in September.

Fairfax City Young at Heart Senior Center is a recreational center with numerous and varied activities for all active adults, 55 and better!

The Green Acres Center and the Young at Heart Senior Center share the same building but operate as separate programs.
