Volunteer with Historic Resources
Become a Volunteer
The Office of Historic Resources offers unique opportunities to work with and educate the public about the city’s historic sites and regional history, and provide travelers with local information. Volunteers are asked to commit to a regular schedule and receive training. Volunteer applications are accepted year-round, and introductory orientation sessions (the first step for volunteers) are scheduled periodically.
The next orientation date is not yet scheduled. If interested, please contact Cami St. Germain at cami.st.germain@fairfaxva.gov or (703) 691-3691.
We are not seeking applications for interns, or research or collections volunteers, at this time.
Volunteers should be age 21 and up.
Occasionally, younger volunteers are scheduled for assisting at special events - contact cami.st.germain@fairfaxva.gov about special event opportunities.
