Police Citations

A police citation is formal notice issued by a law enforcement officer for a legal violation, typically related to traffic laws or other minor offenses.

Easily pay online, check your total due, or verify your court date by following these steps:

  1. Select the button below to go to the General District Court case system page:
     General District Court System
  2. Select your court
    • From the dropdown menu under the Court tab, choose Fairfax City General District Court.
  3. Search for your case
    • Under the Traffic/Criminal tab, search by Name or Case Number.
    • Select the blue case number to open your case.
  4. Make your payment
    • Scroll to the bottom of the case page and click "Process Payment".
    • Enter your credit card details and the payment amount.
    • A 4% convenience fee will apply.
  5. Get your receipt
    • Enter your email address to receive a receipt after the payment is processed.
