The investigation revealed that the driver of the vehicle was under the influence of a narcotic and alcohol. Fouad Bangura, 29, of Herndon was arrested and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was charged with DUI 2nd Offense. Bangura was held on a secure bond. (2025-8430)


Auto Theft Arrest

Layton Hall Drive and University Drive

June 5, 2025 • 9:35 p.m. 

Officers responded for a FLOCK alert for a stolen vehicle. Officers located the vehicle nearby and conducted a traffic stop. Investigation revealed the vehicle was rented in Shreveport, Louisiana but the driver failed to return the vehicle. Daniel Haggerty, 26, of Fairfax was arrested and transported to Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was charged with Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle. Haggerty was released on an unsecured bond. (2025-8437)

On March 15, 2025 officers responded to 3900 Pickett Rd for an auto theft report. The reporting party stated that a person known to them attempted to prevent them from getting out of their parked vehicle during an argument and then took their car after they got out of the vehicle. Officers identified the subject and obtained warrants for Abduction and Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle. Originating Case 2025-3759:
On June 4th officers responded to Probation and Parole for a warrant service on the subject. Ricky Ellerbe, 43, of Fairfax (Fairfax County) was arrested. During a search incident to arrest officers located a stolen credit card. Ellerbe was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was charged with Credit Card Theft and served his warrants for Abduction and Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle. Ellerbe was held on a secure bond. (2025-8453)

Officers responded for the report of a larceny The reporting party stated that an unknown male was inside the store concealing merchandise and refusing to leave the property. Officers located the subject and placed him under arrest. During the arrest the suspect resisted arrest and struck an officer. No injuries were reported. Ronnie Alberts, 28, of No Fixed Address was arrested and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was charged with Trespassing, Concealment of Merchandise, Obstruction of Justice, and Assault on a Police Officer. Alberts was held on no bond. (2025-8534)

Officers observed a male subject that was sitting on the City of Fairfax welcome sign for a significant period of time. The investigation revealed that the subject was given a warning by an officer for loitering and was told to vacate the area. Donohue Grissett, 43, of No Fixed Address was issued a Virginia Uniformed Summons for Loitering and was released. Grissett has a pending City of Fairfax Court General District Court date. (2025-8537)
