From the earliest days of colonial settlement to today, people from around the globe have come to Virginia to make this place their home. This traveling exhibit from the Virginia Museum of History and Culture explores the diversity of the immigrant experience and the profound impact immigrants have had on Virginia’s history and identity. Throughout the centuries, immigrants have shaped the culture, driven the economy, and connected Virginia to the world, while also defining the nature of citizenship and what it means to be a Virginian.
The exhibit will be on display during open hours at the Fairfax Museum and Visitor Center from March 18 - April 27. The museum's hours are 11 a.m. - 4 p.m., Wednesdays-Mondays, closed Tuesdays.
