Volunteer with Special Events

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join us for a variety of special events in the City of Fairfax!

Opportunities are typically two or more hours and include helping with light administrative tasks before the event as well as assisting on the event day.

From setup to welcoming guests, there are plenty of fun ways to get involved and help bring these cherished events to the community. Examples of volunteer tasks include:

  • Table, chairs, and tent setup
  • Vendor check in
  • Information booth/gate worker
  • Activity leader
  • Balloon handler
  • Costumer character
  • Envelope stuffer
  • Luncheon organizer
  • Errand runner
  • Office worker
  • Route official
  • Telephone caller
  • Car driver
