Project Description

This project will construct the missing link of Government Center Parkway from Stevenson Street in Fairfax County to Jermantown Road in the City of Fairfax. The project will include installation of sidewalks, pedestrian crosswalks, on-road bike lanes, as well as new lighting and landscaping. This project has received SmartScale(PDF, 255KB) funding through the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Location

Continuation of Government Center Pkwy from Stevenson St in Fairfax County to Jermantown Rd in the City of Fairfax.

Project Schedule

• Willingness to Hold a Public Hearing: March 13, 2021 through March 21, 2021
• Design: September 2017 through May 2022
• Right-of-Way: June 2021 through Late 2023
• Construction: Spring of 2025
