May is National Bike Month! Celebrate with Fairfax City at our Bike to Work Day pit stop or by participating in other events throughout the month. Biking is a great way to improve fitness, reduce congestion, and support the city's sustainability goals, all while having fun and getting where you need to go!
Bike to Work Day
When: Friday, May 15, 6 - 9 a.m.

This annual event is a favorite among new and experienced cyclists. Register for FREE to get this year's t-shirt (while supplies last), pick up snacks and giveaway goodies, and enter a raffle to win prizes!
Bike and Roll to School Day
When: Wednesday, May 6
Where: Your trip to school!
Bike to School Day is an annual event encouraging families across the country to bike to school. Children who bike to school get physical activity, help the environment, and learn traffic safety skills. Note: These bicycle routes follow city streets where bicyclists should expect to share the road with other traffic. Routes may not suitable for younger or inexperienced cyclists, and riders are responsible for following traffic laws and practicing bicycle safety. Bicycle helmets are encouraged for all riders and required for children age 14 and under.
