The Sisson House is a historic property with roots tracing back to the mid-19th century. Constructed between 1881 and 1884, the house was originally owned by Robert Lewis Sisson, who operated a stagecoach line from Fairfax Court House to Fairfax Station from 1869 until his death in 1903. The property remained in the Sisson family until 1928. In recent years, the Sisson House has been repurposed to serve the community. This building contains the office of the School Board and Superintendent. The city's Community Garden is also located at this address, providing residents with space to cultivate plants and foster community engagement.
