Hours: 8 a.m. — 10 p.m.

Old Town Square sits adjacent to the historic Old Town Hall in the heart of Old Town Fairfax. This addition to the city enhances the Old Town area with its visual appeal and wonderful features, as well as plays host to many city events and numerous concerts.

Park Features & Attractions

Old Town Square blends history with modern amenities. The park features:

Event space for concerts & festivals

Splash Pad

The park hosts popular city events, including Rock the Block, Fall Festival, and Festival of Lights and Carols.

Splash Pad

Due to the cold and rainy weather forecast, the opening of the Splash Pad at Old Town Square has been delayed until Thursday, May 28. Please note that the splash pad will be closed on event days and may also temporarily close throughout the season due to unexpected repairs or maintenance.

Splash Pad Hours: 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. (May - October)

Splash Pad Rules

Caution: The surface may be slippery when wet. Water shoes are recommended.
Supervision required: Children younger than 12 must be supervised by an adult.
Stay alert: Parents and guardians should watch their children at all times.
Do not drink the water: It is chemically treated and recirculated. Use the nearby drinking fountain instead.
No animals allowed: Pets are not permitted on the splash pad.
Keep it clean: Urinating, defecating, vomiting, blowing your nose or spitting in the splash pad is prohibited.
Health first: Use the splash pad only if you have been diarrhea-free for at least two weeks.
Proper swimwear required: Diaper-age and incontinent individuals must wear a swim diaper with plastic pants.
Prohibited items: No glass containers, bicycles, skateboards, scooters, inline skates, wagons or strollers.
No food or drinks allowed.
Play safely: No running or horseplay.
Foot rinse required: Use the foot shower before entering the splash pad.
Capacity limit: Maximum occupancy is 37 people.
