Project S.A.F.E. (Security, Awareness, Focus, and Engagement)

CITY OF FAIRFAX — This summer, the Police Department is launching Project S.A.F.E. (Security, Awareness, Focus, and Engagement), a proactive crime prevention initiative designed to provide residents and business owners with information to address simple property security issues before they become opportunities for crime.

 

During routine patrols, officers may observe conditions such as unsecured doors, open garage doors, unattended packages, or valuables left in plain view.  A Project S.A.F.E. door hanger may be left, notifying the resident or business owner, and includes a QR code linking to our Crime Prevention webpage where they can find practical crime prevention recommendations.

 

Project S.A.F.E. reflects our commitment to proactive policing, community engagement, and crime prevention.  Working together, we can reduce opportunities for crime and help keep the City of Fairfax a great place to live, work, and visit.
