Animal Cruelty Arrest

CITY OF FAIRFAX — On June 11, 2026, at 9:54 a.m., the City of Fairfax Police Department was alerted to the report of an animal cruelty case.

An investigation by City of Fairfax Police Department Animal Control revealed that a male subject exited his vehicle nearby 11201 Fairfax Blvd. and began chasing a family of geese, intentionally killing a gosling. The suspect then fled the scene.

Through a thorough investigation since the date of the offense, the suspect was identified.

On July 7, 2026, Ashton Stennett,  32 of Columbia, MD, was issued a summons for one count of Cruelty to Animals (3.2-6570), with a pending court date.
