Officers responded for the report of a single vehicle crash. The investigation revealed that the driver was under the influence of narcotics and was in possession of stolen license plates. Further investigation revealed that the vehicle was stolen out of Fairfax County. Edwin Sanchez, 39, of Fairfax was arrested and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Drugs, Petit Larceny, Obstruction of Justice, Grand Larceny, and Driving on a Suspended License. Sanchez was held on no bond. (2025-18278)

Officers responded for the report of a larceny. The reporting party stated that an unknown male entered the business, took multiple items, and left the business without rendering payment. Officers located the suspect nearby. Marquis Pearson, 35, of Rockville, MD was issued a Virginia Uniformed Summons for Petit Larceny and was released. Pearson has a pending City of Fairfax General District Court date. (2025-18335)


DUI Arrest

4000 block of Gateway Drive

December 9, 2025 • 2:16 a.m.

Officers responded for the report of motor vehicle crash. The investigation revealed that a vehicle struck a parked vehicle. During the investigation the driver of the striking vehicle fled the scene. Officers located the suspect nearby. During the arrest the suspect assaulted an officer. No injuries were reported. Shaun Cunningham Jr., 31, of Hampton, VA was arrested and was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was charged with Driving Under the Influence, Refusal, Eluding, Hit and Run, Obstruction of Justice, Assault on Law Enforcement, and Driving Without a License. Cunningham Jr. was held on no bond. (2025-18352)


Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle

Officers responded for the report of the unauthorized use of a vehicle. The reporting party stated that a male known to them took their vehicle without their permission. A short time later the subject returned the vehicle. The reporting party declined to prosecute. There is no further information at this time. (2025-18391)

The investigation revealed that the subject also stole from Ace Hardware earlier (see 2025-18423). Mohamed Nur, 33, of Fairfax was arrested and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was charged with two counts of Petit Larceny. Nur was held on a secure bond. (2025-18442)

The investigation revealed that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. Tracy Feerick,32, of Alexandria was arrested and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where she was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Feerick was held until she was deemed sober. (2025-18603)

The investigation revealed that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. Brahim Zit, 44 of Centreville was arrested and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Zit was released on an unsecure bond. (2025-18617)
