Let's celebrate trees! The City of Fairfax is observing 40 years as a Tree City USA with a special Arbor Day celebration at Pat Rodio Park (3800 Keith Ave) on Saturday, April 25, starting at 9 a.m.
The celebration will include recognition of the city's 40 years as a Tree City USA, a poetry recitation by winners of the city's Arbor Day Youth Poetry Contest, a community tree planting, and a tree pick-up event for residents who order free trees through our spring tree giveaway.
How to Join the Celebration
Volunteer to Plant Trees on Arbor Day
Community members are invited to help us plant native trees on Arbor Day by signing up as a volunteer from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. City residents who participate may be eligible to earn Stormwater Utility Credit.

Get a Free Native Tree
Take the day to plant a new native tree that will provide benefits to your family for years to come. The city offers no-cost trees to residents each spring and fall through a seasonal tree giveaway with the Arbor Day Foundation.
Tree reservations for the spring will open in mid-March. You can choose to order a tree directly to your address, or pick up your tree at our community distribution event on Arbor Day.

Please park in the public lots at Keith Ave and Cedar Ave or on Tussica Way. No street parking is allowed on Keith Ave, Cedar Ave, or McLean Ave. The nearest CUE Bus access is Gold 1 stop 155 on Main St and Green 1 stop 21 on Chain Bridge Rd.
