About the Awards
Do you know a woman making a powerful difference in our community through leadership, service, advocacy or dedication to others? Nominate her for the 2026 Women of Influence Awards.
Now in its seventh year, the Women of Influence Awards honor Fairfax women whose dynamic leadership, service and sustained impact make the city stronger and inspire others through professional or volunteer roles.
Award Categories
Rising Star Award (NEW): Recognizes emerging leaders — women under age 35, early in their careers or volunteer or community work — who demonstrate exceptional promise, passion and dedication to positive change.
Women of Influence Award: Recognizes women whose leadership, service and sustained impact have made the City of Fairfax stronger and inspired others through professional or volunteer roles.
Eligibility
Nominees must meet all of the following requirements:
- Be a City of Fairfax resident
- Have worked or contributed in ways that benefit City of Fairfax residents
Self-nominations and community nominations are both encouraged.
Important Dates
Nomination Period
Jan. 5-March 5, 2026
Award Ceremony
April 14, 2026, 6 p.m.
Reception to follow immediately after ceremony.
Winners will be announced in late March and celebrated at the April 14th award ceremony at Fairfax City Hall. Reception to follow immediately after ceremony.
