Open House: Proposed Sidewalk and Shared Use Path Projects

The City of Fairfax has developed concept plans for three proposed transportation projects. We want your feedback on what is proposed. These projects are not yet approved or funded. Your input will help City Council decide whether to move forward.

Open House

Location: City Hall, 10455 Armstrong Street, Fairfax, VA

The Proposed Projects

Sidewalks on Rust Road and Westmore Drive

New sidewalk on the east side of Rust Road between the veterinary hospital and Westmore Drive, and then on the north side of Westmore Drive between Rust Road and Fairfax Street.

Sidewalk on Burke Station Road

New sidewalk on the west side of Burke Station Road between Stoughton Road and Grefe Drive.

Shared use path between the Wilcoxon Trailhead and Draper Drive Park

New 10-foot-wide shared pedestrian and bicycle path along Fairfax Boulevard between the Wilcoxon Trailhead and Draper Drive. It would replace the existing 5-foot sidewalk. The path would then continue across Fairfax Boulevard on the west side of Draper Drive and the north side of Beech Drive to connect to Draper Drive Park.

Come to the open house. Visit City Hall on October 20 from 5 to 7 p.m. to talk with staff and provide comments in person.
