Streets
The Streets Division maintains a safe, functioning roadway and pedestrian infrastructure system for the traveling public, including public right of ways, utility strips, medians, city buildings, flower beds and trees, and the city Cemetery. The division also oversees stormwater and sanitary sewer infrastructure maintenance and leads emergency damage clean-up in response to storms.
When winter weather moves in, the Streets Division leads city staff in 24-hour snow removal and ice treatment. Our Right of Way crew handles curbside loose leaf removal for a two-month period in the late fall and early winter, and on Tuesdays throughout April.
